At a glance
Ruvem Drive is designed to record journeys without building a profile about you. It does not operate a user account system or a server that receives your journey database. We do not sell personal information, use advertising identifiers, or track you across apps and websites.
The app can record a journey without an internet connection. A missing connection may affect map imagery, but it does not prevent a journey already in progress from being saved on your device.
Information the app handles
When you explicitly start a journey, Ruvem Drive uses your location to create a route and calculate journey information. Depending on your journey and the information you enter, this can include:
- location points, timestamps, route segments, and location accuracy;
- journey distance, duration, speed, and movement-related measurements; and
- optional titles, notes, vehicle labels, and your local app preferences.
This information is used only to provide Ruvem Drive features such as the live journey view, history, statistics, and recovery of an interrupted recording.
Location permission
Location access is used only for journeys you choose to record. Ruvem Drive does not create new route records when you are not recording a journey.
If you allow background location, a journey you started can continue while your screen is locked or while you use another app. You can change or revoke location access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services on your iPhone.
Where your data stays
Your completed journey records are stored locally in Ruvem Drive’s app storage on your device. Ruvem Drive does not automatically upload routes, notes, or journey statistics to a Ruvem or Finlyo service.
Map display is provided through Apple’s map services. Apple may process information needed to provide map imagery under its own privacy practices. This does not give Ruvem Drive access to an Apple-held account or map-service profile, and we do not send your stored journey database to a Ruvem server.
Sharing and exports
The current public version of Ruvem Drive does not include a route-sharing or export feature. If a future version adds one, it will ask you to choose what to share before it sends anything through your device’s sharing tools. We will update this policy before a change to that data flow takes effect.
Retention and deletion
Your journey records remain on your device until you delete them. You can delete individual journeys, or choose Delete all Ruvem Drive data in the app’s Settings. Deleting a journey permanently removes its stored route points, events, and related journey records from Ruvem Drive’s local database.
Because we do not receive a copy of your journey data, we cannot retrieve or delete it for you remotely. Deleting Ruvem Drive data does not affect Ruvem Motion or TrackerLab data on your device.
Changes to this policy
If Ruvem Drive’s data practices change, we will update this page and revise the date above. Material changes, such as adding a service that receives journey data, will be described here before they take effect.
